Perot Museum of Nature & Science

Dallas, Texas

The Perot Museum of Nature & Science re-opened in 2012 in a new 180,000 s.f. facility in the Victory Park neighborhood of Dallas. The building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne and his firm, Morphosis, houses exhibits in a cube-shaped structure with dramatic views of downtown Dallas.

Amaze Design developed five halls for the Museum. Three of the halls, Discovering Life, Dynamic Earth, and Expanding Universe, focus on life and earth sciences and astronomy and present overviews of these fields from a systems science perspective. A fourth hall, Life: Then & Now, houses the museum’s extensive paleontological collection featuring current and emerging research. The fifth hall, the Rose Hall of Birds, features the Museum’s important library of bird-related books and manuscripts. Exhibits are designed to showcase a mixture of playful interactives, immersive environments, and awe-inspiring multimedia presentations.
