American Writers Museum

Chicago, Illinois

Seven years in the making, the American Writers Museum is the first national museum in the United States dedicated to celebrating American writers and exploring their influences on our history, identity, culture, and daily lives.

The American Writers Museum is both an idea and a place. It is a vibrant, experiential center that offers visitors myriad ways to engage with American writers, and it is a hub for a national discourse on writers and writing. The museum covers the breadth and range of American writers through unexpected, in-depth, immersive, and hands-on exhibits.

Amaze Design managed a team of over fifty scholars and subject matter experts to develop the content for the museum. Additionally, Amaze was responsible for all design, research, media production, fabrication, and installation accomplished through collaborative partnerships with an exceptional team.
