Longyear Museum
Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts
The Longyear Museum is dedicated to Mary Baker Eddy, the only American woman to found a religious denomination, Christian Science. Here, visitors of all religions find a welcoming and contemplative space in which to explore the life of a woman driven by a spiritual discovery. Mary Baker Eddy’s life and work are experienced here through artifacts, audio, media, and her own words.
The exhibits are housed in a beautiful building by Stopfel Architects. They occupy two galleries linked by a lobby and loggia. Amaze created the conceptual and intellectual framework, designed all 2- and 3-dimensional elements, produced all media, and oversaw the exhibition's fabrication, production, and installation.
